<p>I wanted to offer some thoughts about why this may be happening:. Microsoft Skype for example is one I have seen do this. If you can completely exit out of any apps that might be using the camera and try Zoom again that would be great. You can even do this when you are not in a meeting. Click on Video, and you will see some camera choice options there.</p>
<p>If your camera is recognized by Zoom you will see a small picture of yourself in camera. <p>Ok, if you have for sure exited out of any other program that may be using your camera, and still no video, we may need to completely uninstall the Zoom client and start fresh. I have uninstalled and re-installed the zoom client already. I just did it again just to make sure, and same exact thing, black screen. It never prompts me to give permission to access my camera or microphone, like most video software does.</p>
<p>I also closed Microsoft Teams just in case that was interfering. Same thing. I uninstalled Zoom and reloaded it. My video still will not come on. It has defaulted to Cyberlink Web Cam Splitter.</p>

We do have existing tickets having the same issue with Dell machines, the engineering team confirmed that it is an audio driver issue with Realtek. Our engineering team already notified Dell about this issue and in addition, Dell also reached out to Microsoft informing the said fault.</p>
<p>Microsoft advised that they will release a hotfix for this issue around end of September. While waiting for the hotfix, you may try to roll-back to the old driver or uninstall a Windows driver update dated June 11th, Thursday. This information came from a similar post from this link. Hi kniemann , sorry to hear that! It’s a tough one for us as well. The only thing I have not tested is going back to Zoom 5. I feel it’s something introduced in Zoom’s software vs. Realtek since it impacts us on various drivers going back ways. I’ve also ruled out the update as I have devices on the May build If you ping me, I can provide you a case for correlation if they’re not able to find it.</p>
<p>The 1st few times I called, I got zero help on this from support. They didn’t know of anything that could cause it. I then discovered the event logs realizing that Zoom was the aggressor. As for how to reproduce it, I still can’t do that, which makes it hard to nail down when it’s truly fixed!</p>
